Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Training Center is seeking a skilled Marketing Videographer to bring our brand, our students, and our impact on the skilled trades industry to life through compelling video content. This role goes beyond filming and editing. It requires someone who can direct a shoot from start to finish, know how to get the best possible performance out of the people in front of the camera, and turn every subject, from a first-year student to a seasoned executive, into a confident, compelling storyteller on screen.
The ideal candidate is an expert in marketing video filming and editing, skilled at controlling every element of a shot, from lighting and framing to pacing and subject direction, and equally skilled in the editing suite, shaping raw footage into polished, high-impact video content that speaks to different audiences. This role reports to the Director of Marketing and will support broader social media and marketing strategy by bringing videos to life that reinforce our brand goals. This is a hands-on, proactive role for someone who takes ownership of the entire video production process and can work efficiently to deliver a fast stream of high-quality social media videos that supports our marketing needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Brand Video Production: Plan and produce marketing and brand videos that bring The Training Center's story, our students' journeys, and our impact on the skilled trades industry to life. Create primarily short-form video content for social media, along with long-form marketing videos as needed.
Video Filming & Direction: Proactively control every element of the shot, including lighting, framing, composition, and pacing, to capture the strongest possible footage. Direct and coach subjects on camera, from students to instructors to executives, to get the most authentic and compelling performance out of each person being filmed.
Video Editing & Post-Production: Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality videos using Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard editing tools. Craft videos that capture attention, communicate our brand story clearly, and stand out across every platform where they're used.
Media Library & Asset Management: Organize, categorize, and maintain our growing video library, establishing a clear, consistent system for storing and retrieving raw footage, final edits, and other video assets. Keep our media library structured and accessible so past content can be easily found, repurposed, or reused.
Efficiency & Output: Work quickly and efficiently to consistently churn out high-quality video content, leveraging a strong video production toolkit to keep pace with the demands of an active social media and marketing calendar.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
● 5-7 Years of Marketing Video Experience: Proven experience producing marketing and social media videos specifically, with a track record of creating videos that speak to different audiences and bring stories to life.
● Expert in Video Editing & Tools: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar), along with a strong working knowledge of other video editing tools, with the ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
● Expert Filming & Shot Direction: Expert-level ability to control all elements of a shot, including lighting, framing, and composition, with a proactive approach to getting the most out of every scene. Skilled at directing and coaching subjects on camera.
● Audience-Driven Storytelling: Ability to shape footage and edits differently depending on the intended audience, understanding what resonates with different viewers.
Portfolio of videos preferred
ADA Accommodations: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
