Carpenter 1 | Concierge Services in Saratoga Springs, New York at Teakwood Builders, Inc

Teakwood Builders is looking for (2) experienced, dependable carpenters to join our Concierge Services team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys doing high-quality residential carpentry, working as part of a strong team, and taking care of Clients and their homes.

You do not need to run projects, supervise Trade Partners, create schedules, or manage budgets. Most of the time, you will work alongside one of our Lead Carpenters. At times, you may be given a clearly defined task to complete independently, so we are looking for someone who can take direction, use good judgment, and be trusted to do the job right.

What You'll Do

• Perform residential remodeling, repair, maintenance, and carpentry work.
• Assist with demolition, framing, interior and exterior trim, installations, repairs, punch-list work, and other general construction tasks.
• Work primarily alongside and under the direction of a Lead Carpenter.
• Complete assigned tasks independently when appropriate.
• Prepare and protect work areas and keep jobsites clean, safe, and organized.
• Use and care for tools, equipment, and materials responsibly.
• Recognize problems or unexpected conditions and communicate them promptly to the Lead Carpenter.
• Interact professionally and respectfully with Clients while working in their homes.
• Help minimize dust, disruption, and inconvenience for Clients.
• Accurately record time and use basic company technology for job information and communication.

What We're Looking For

• Approximately three years of residential construction, remodeling, or carpentry experience.
• Solid basic carpentry skills and familiarity with common construction tools and methods.
• Ability to measure accurately and perform practical construction math.
• Ability to understand basic drawings, sketches, dimensions, and written instructions.
• Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Good judgment and practical problem-solving skills.
• Dependability, a strong work ethic, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Professional communication skills and comfort working in occupied homes.
• Ability to take direction while also handling appropriate assignments independently.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

The Role
This is a full-time position, generally Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Work is performed primarily at residential project sites in the Saratoga Springs/Capital Region. The position is physically active and requires the ability to safely lift and move construction materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 80 lbs.

Compensation
$25.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
