This is a high-impact customer-facing role at the intersection of quantum computing, software, and technical enablement.
You will help customers successfully adopt and use quantum computing platforms, from onboarding through advanced workloads and features.
The role combines hands-on troubleshooting, technical guidance, user education, and customer advocacy.
You will translate complex concepts across physics, computer science, and business for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Working closely with software, systems, applications, and customer-facing teams, you will turn user feedback into meaningful product improvements.
The position is ideal for a technical generalist and fast learner who enjoys debugging, problem solving, and continuous learning.
You will have a visible opportunity to shape customer experiences while contributing to the growth of the quantum computing ecosystem.
- Become a subject matter expert on user-facing quantum computing software, production systems, platform capabilities, and ecosystem integrations.
- Serve as a primary technical interface for customers by answering questions, troubleshooting incidents, investigating issues, and coordinating resolutions with software and system operations teams.
- Provide customers with technical implementation guidance covering platform administration, software integration, workflow orchestration, and related technical workflows.
- Lead customer onboarding sessions and training activities to help users become productive on quantum computing systems.
- Gather customer feedback, feature requests, technical blockers, and usage challenges, then advocate for customer-driven improvements with internal product and engineering teams.
- Create and contribute to developer documentation, training resources, technical presentations, feature demonstrations, and other customer enablement materials.
- Help develop internal tools, metrics, and processes that improve understanding of customer usage patterns and identify opportunities to increase customer success.
- Participate in customer engagements, industry conferences, and other events to build relationships with users and contribute to the broader quantum computing community.
- Advanced technical education, such as an MS in Physics, Computer Science, or a related computational discipline, or equivalent graduate-level training and hands-on experience in Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles or equivalent positions, with a demonstrated record of strong performance and achievement.
- Experience in user support, developer relations, solutions engineering, technical enablement, or another role involving direct support and education of technical users.
- Hands-on experience with Python and Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, or comparable computational environments.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both business stakeholders and technical subject matter experts across different domains.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, combined with a customer-focused mindset and enthusiasm for hands-on technical work.
- Ability to learn quickly, operate across multiple technical disciplines, and continuously develop expertise in quantum computing.
- Experience with quantum computing frameworks or SDKs such as Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, or CUDA-Q is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with quantum information science, quantum applications and algorithms, SaaS platforms, REST APIs, HPC systems, SQL, data science, or data analytics is preferred.
- Experience creating customer-facing technical content, demonstrations, or presentations for varied audiences is a plus.
- Base salary range of $128,445–$183,450 USD, with compensation varying based on qualifications, experience, location, and market factors.
- Total compensation package that may include base salary, bonus, and equity.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) matching program.
- Unlimited paid time off and paid holidays.
- Parental and adoption leave.
- Legal insurance.
- Home technology stipend.
- Flexible work arrangements, with the option to work fully remote, onsite, or hybrid from eligible U.S. offices.
- Opportunities to work alongside multidisciplinary experts at the forefront of quantum computing.
- A culture emphasizing autonomy, productivity, respect, inclusion, and continuous learning.
- Up to 10% travel for customer engagements, industry conferences, and related events.
