Job Description
QA Technician — Project Execution
Great at quality. Ready for a better quality of life?
Tired of living out of a suitcase, spending more time in airports and hotels than at home? Put your technical expertise to work with Crescent Power Systems (CPS), where quality matters—and so does the quality of life of the people who deliver it.
CPS designs and delivers integrated electrical buildings for demanding power distribution applications. We’re looking for a hands-on QA/QC Technician who knows electrical systems, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants to help deliver projects that exceed customer expectations.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be involved throughout the integration process—from reviewing equipment and materials at the building manufacturer to supporting inspections, punch lists, Factory Acceptance Testing, and final delivery. You’ll:
- Review integrated electrical buildings at multiple stages of fabrication.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential design, quality, or execution issues.
- Track materials, schedules, punch lists, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to keep projects moving.
- Participate in customer and third-party inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing.
- Visit vendor and integrator facilities to inspect major equipment such as switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, HVAC systems, and control equipment.
- Communicate project status, issues, and solutions to internal teams and customers.
- Help capture lessons learned and identify ways to continually improve our processes.
Your Career—and Your Life
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to move away from the heavy travel typical of many field positions. Some travel is required, including vendor inspections and project site support, but CPS values balance, personal relationships, and sustainable careers.
We’re a company that cares about its people, appreciates individual contributions, and believes great work shouldn’t require sacrificing life outside the office.
Bring your expertise. Help us raise the bar on quality—and enjoy the life you’re working for.
Experience That Gets Our Attention
A degree in engineering and at least six years of progressively responsible electrical inspection experience are required. Experience integrating complex electrical power systems, instrumentation, and controls is important.
Have mechanical and electrical experience with 15 kV and 480 V switchgear (SWGR)? That’s a major plus! Relevant experience with electrical drawings, industry standards, NFPA 70, or NETA testing is also valuable.
