This role sits at the intersection of enterprise architecture, healthcare systems, and data-driven solution design, supporting complex platforms that improve healthcare operations and outcomes. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-performing application architectures that align with business and regulatory requirements. The position requires close collaboration with business analysts, technical analysts, developers, and QA teams to translate complex healthcare and pharmacy workflows into robust system designs. You will contribute to end-to-end solution architecture across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring consistency, scalability, and data integrity. The environment is highly collaborative and mission-driven, with a strong focus on modernizing healthcare systems through technology. This is a high-impact role where your architectural decisions directly influence system performance, interoperability, and patient-focused outcomes.
- Design and oversee end-to-end application architectures that support healthcare and pharmacy-related systems, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Translate complex business and healthcare requirements into technical architecture solutions, including data models, system flows, and integration frameworks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, technical analysts, developers, and QA teams to ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of system requirements.
- Define and document system architecture, integration logic, data flows, and dependencies across internal platforms and external interfaces.
- Guide solution design for healthcare domains such as claims processing, pharmacy benefit workflows, pricing models, and prior authorization systems.
- Ensure architectural alignment with SDLC best practices, Agile methodologies, and enterprise governance standards.
- Support system validation efforts, including design reviews, defect analysis, and pre-deployment quality assurance activities.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams on architecture standards, data structures, and scalable system design practices.
- 3–5+ years of experience in technical architecture, application architecture, or senior technical analyst roles within healthcare or enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems and Medicaid concepts, including pharmacy claims processing, NDC-based pricing, DUR edits, and prior authorization workflows.
- Advanced knowledge of system design, integration architecture, and enterprise application frameworks.
- Strong SQL skills with experience analyzing large datasets and supporting data-driven architecture decisions.
- Familiarity with Data Element Dictionaries (DEDs), system interface specifications, and integration design principles (including healthcare standards such as NCPDP).
- Experience working within SDLC and Agile environments, collaborating closely with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bonus: experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Competitive salary range of $95,100 to $135,800 annually, depending on experience and location
