Trade Management Analyst III

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Trade Management Analyst III based in United States.

This role plays a key part in supporting global trade compliance and customs classification activities within a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be responsible for analyzing product data to determine regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate Partner Government Agency (PGA) reporting, and supporting compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations. The position requires close collaboration with internal trade teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth import/export operations and accurate documentation. You will also contribute to process improvement efforts, data accuracy, and operational consistency across classification and compliance workflows. In addition, the role involves maintaining detailed records, supporting audit trails, and assisting with workload distribution and team coordination. This is a highly analytical and detail-oriented position suited for someone who thrives in structured, regulation-driven environments and enjoys solving complex classification challenges.

Accountabilities:

Support trade compliance operations by analyzing product data, ensuring accurate classification decisions, and maintaining regulatory alignment across import/export and PGA reporting activities.

  • Analyze product documentation (technical literature, drawings, and related data) to determine classification requirements and identify ADD/CVD and PGA reporting obligations.
  • Collect and validate required PGA data elements (e.g., product codes, MID numbers, 510K identifiers) for submission to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
  • Prepare and maintain ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) datasets and ensure accurate regulatory reporting to customs authorities.
  • Maintain PGA logs, update internal systems, and support monthly reporting and audit readiness.
  • Apply classification updates based on new PGA or regulatory information.
  • Coordinate daily activities and workload distribution with trade compliance and TMS team members.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to explain regulatory requirements, support issue resolution, and promote process improvements.
  • Assist in training efforts related to classification, PGA requirements, and trade compliance procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in trade operations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented trade compliance professional with strong analytical skills and experience in import/export classification within regulated customs environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent international education.
  • 3–5 years of experience in import/export classification, trade compliance, or customs operations.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience with OGA/PGA processes is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and trade compliance requirements.
  • Customs Broker License is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical product data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interaction and reporting.
  • Experience in international trade, logistics, or freight forwarding is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
