Contract Business Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Contract Business Analyst based in Spain.

As a Contract Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting a large-scale digital transformation initiative within the energy sector. This position focuses on translating complex business needs into clear technical requirements, helping teams deliver effective and scalable solutions. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, commercial, and domain experts to bridge business objectives with technology execution. Working in a remote-first environment, you will contribute to process improvements, data migration activities, and the successful delivery of modern platforms. This is an opportunity for an analytical and proactive professional to make a direct impact while working within a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Accountabilities
  • Analyze complex business processes and translate energy market requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable delivery plans.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, suppliers, and subject matter experts to define requirements and support successful implementation.
  • Create detailed documentation, including user acceptance criteria, data mappings, system integrations, and process flows.
  • Support large-scale transformation initiatives by helping teams modernize legacy processes and transition to new platforms.
  • Coordinate business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and effective communication throughout delivery.
  • Support data migration activities and contribute to preparing systems for successful implementation.
  • Identify potential risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement while proactively supporting mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business, engineering, design, and commercial teams to ensure solutions meet both user and operational needs.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within complex technology, transformation, or digital delivery projects.
  • Strong ability to analyze and document business processes, technical requirements, data flows, and system integrations.
  • Experience writing clear specifications, user stories, and user acceptance criteria.
  • Background supporting large-scale system transformation or data migration programs under demanding timelines.
  • Understanding of the UK energy market is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders through structured analysis and well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while contributing effectively to collaborative teams.
  • Experience managing priorities, identifying risks, and balancing innovation with practical delivery considerations.
