Position Number: S77850

This position is a Grade: 8 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $47,570-$57,090 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Kay Accountabilities

  • Performing skilled building maintenance and repair tasks across Lehigh's campus facilities, applying hands-on knowledge of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues across multiple building systems, including plumbing, carpentry, and general facility infrastructure
  • Working independently on assigned work orders, managing your time and priorities with minimal supervision when required
  • Collaborating with the broader Facilities team to support scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to urgent repair needs

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates or Vocational/Technical Degree preferred; combination of education and experience acceptable
  • Three to five years of work experience in building maintenance, facilities trades, or a closely related field
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Solid working knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures across multiple building systems
  • Confidence operating and maintaining a range of hand and power tools and equipment
  • Ability to work independently, assess situations on the ground, and make sound decisions without constant oversight
  • Physical capability to perform the demands of the role, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in varied indoor and outdoor environments
