This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Key Account Manager based in United States.

This role is responsible for managing and growing strategic wholesale customer accounts while driving profitable commercial performance.
You will develop account strategies, strengthen customer partnerships, and identify opportunities to expand revenue, margins, and product adoption.
The position combines relationship management, sales planning, commercial execution, customer education, and data-driven decision-making.
You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance to deliver coordinated solutions and reliable customer experiences.
You will also represent the organization at important trade shows and industry events while gathering valuable market and competitive intelligence.
Success will depend on your ability to translate customer and sales data into practical actions, maintain forecast accuracy, and continuously improve account processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys strategic account ownership, customer engagement, and measurable growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Own relationships and overall commercial performance for assigned strategic wholesale accounts, driving profitable growth while pursuing defined sales, margin, and new-product objectives.
  • Build and maintain trusted customer relationships by understanding account needs, addressing concerns, improving satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for long-term partnership growth.
  • Develop and execute account plans, promotional activities, and annual business plans aligned with customer objectives and broader commercial priorities.
  • Lead customer training initiatives and provide product education to wholesale staff, helping customer teams understand product features, benefits, applications, and value propositions.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly account performance reports and quarterly business reviews, including forward-looking plans, forecasts, performance insights, and recommended actions.
  • Represent the organization at key trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings while gathering competitive intelligence, market insights, and emerging customer needs.
  • Use sales analytics, Excel, Power BI, and other relevant data sources to identify growth opportunities, monitor progress, evaluate performance, and recommend improvement actions.
  • Coordinate closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive customer solutions and maintain strong service levels.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and proactively communicate demand signals, changes in customer requirements, risks, and emerging opportunities.
  • Manage budgets related to travel, customer entertainment, product samples, trade shows, and other account-development activities.
  • Demonstrate adaptability in response to customer, market, industry, and internal business changes while maintaining focus on commercial priorities.
  • Apply a Lean Selling mindset to continuously improve account processes, reporting quality, customer satisfaction, and sales effectiveness.
  • Protect confidential customer and business information and ensure account activities remain aligned with organizational strategy and commercial standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in sales and key account management, ideally within wholesale, distribution, or a comparable customer-driven commercial environment.
  • Proven experience managing strategic accounts and delivering measurable revenue and profitable growth results.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, account planning, relationship management, and commercial execution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trusted customer partnerships and maintain a customer-centric approach across complex account relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong preference for experience using Power BI and other sales analytics or reporting tools.
  • Ability to analyze sales and customer data, identify meaningful trends, and translate insights into clear, practical business actions.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including understanding of pricing, margin management, promotional effectiveness, sales performance, and account profitability.
  • Experience developing and delivering customer training, product education, presentations, or coaching to customer-facing teams.
  • Strong product and technical learning aptitude, with the ability to understand product portfolios and clearly communicate features, benefits, and applications.
  • Experience with program selling, solution selling, and portfolio-based account management.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple strategic priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated continuous-improvement mindset and ability to apply structured approaches to improve account processes, reporting, and customer outcomes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 50% of the time, including occasional weekends during peak trade-show and event seasons.

Benefits:

  • Targeted base salary range of $97,000–$120,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
  • Potential for a 10% annual bonus based on performance.
  • Comprehensive benefits package with multiple healthcare and benefit plan options.
  • 401(k) plan with immediate company matching vesting.
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and public holidays.
  • Full-time position with remote work flexibility.
  • Opportunity to manage strategic wholesale accounts and directly influence revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and product growth.
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance.
  • Opportunities to represent the organization at trade shows and industry events while developing market knowledge and customer relationships.
  • A collaborative culture emphasizing integrity, trust, respect, continuous improvement, and work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to build strong professional relationships while contributing meaningful value to the organization.
