Job Summary:
The Service & Install Trainee will work within Lely’s premium distribution channel representing Lely to farmers to create a profitable, enjoyable, and sustainable future in farming and ensure the highest customer satisfaction and efficiency for farmers in compliance with Lely’s strategy and vision for the farm of the future. The Service & Install Trainee is responsible for assisting the team in engaging customers in long-term relationships, the service and maintenance of the Lely product portfolio of our customers and to provide first-line support to resolve issues, the complete and timely installation and technical start-up of the Lely products purchased by our customers and ensuring the service/ installation activities meet the Lely standards and the customer’s expectations.
Purpose
Entry-level position focused on learning Lely systems, installation standards, safety requirements, and customer service fundamentals while working under direct supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
· Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks under supervision.
· Learn electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and networking fundamentals.
· Support customer service calls and observe troubleshooting techniques.
· Complete service documentation accurately.
· Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and service vehicle cleanliness.
· Participate in technical training and certification programs.
· Assist with startup and commissioning activities.
· Timely administration of parts used and work carried out
· Service Van: Manage the spare parts and keep van organized and clean
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
· 0 to 2 years of technical experience.
· Technical school, agricultural background, or equivalent experience preferred.
· Basic hand and power tool proficiency.
· Basic computer skills.
· Ability to work independently after instruction.
· Valid driver's license.
