Job Description
A well-established manufacturing organization in East El Paso is seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This position serves as a first point of contact for employees and supports the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee records, HRIS administration, training, compliance, and day-to-day HR activities.
The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, service-oriented, and comfortable supporting a large and diverse workforce in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and physical employee files in accordance with company policies and record retention requirements.
Enter, update, and audit employee information in Paycom, including new hires, status changes, terminations, and personal information updates.
Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, documentation, and routine correspondence as requested.
Process employment verifications, unemployment claims documentation, and other HR-related correspondence.
Track and maintain compliance documentation, including I-9s, E-Verify, training records, and employee certifications.
Prepare new hire paperwork, orientation materials, and welcome packets for production and corporate employees.
Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure all onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, and work authorization documentation.
Serve as a first point of contact for routine employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and basic payroll matters, escalating more complex issues to HR leadership.
Provide bilingual English/Spanish communication support to ensure employees have access to HR information and resources.
Assist with employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and internal communications.
Distribute HR communications, notices, and required workplace postings throughout the facility.
Maintain training records within the Learning Management System (LMS) and assist with scheduling required employee and operational training.
Support HR and compliance audits by gathering documentation, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
Assist with the administration and communication of company policies, employee handbook requirements, and safety-related HR procedures.
Help coordinate vendors and documentation related to HR operations, including workplace first aid and safety-related services.
Provide administrative support to the HR team, including meeting coordination, supply ordering, reporting, and project assistance.
Support special HR projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
Maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information.
Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 1–2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an HR support role.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, verbal and written, required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; intermediate Excel skills required.
Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and federal and state employment regulations.
Experience with HRIS systems preferred; Paycom experience strongly preferred.
Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, or high-volume hourly workforce preferred.
Experience supporting a diverse workforce, including employees with disabilities, preferred.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), I-9/E-Verify compliance, employee recordkeeping, and HR audit support preferred.
SHRM-CP, PHR, or progress toward an HR certification is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with effective written and verbal communication.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively with HR team members, managers, employees, and cross-functional departments.
Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with employees from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Ability to work on-site in El Paso within an active manufacturing facility.
Ability to regularly walk through production areas and work in an environment that may include noise and temperature variations.
Ability to sit and operate a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work standard business hours with occasional schedule flexibility to support additional shifts, employee needs, or special events.
