Position Summary

The Dishwasher & Utility Support Team Member plays a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant environment. This position is responsible for washing and sanitizing all kitchenware while supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house teams with cleaning, resets, and overall organization to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment and by hand as required.
• Maintain a steady flow of clean items to support both kitchen and front-of-house operations during service.
• Ensure proper organization and storage of all clean dishes, tools, and equipment.
• Support both back-of-house and front-of-house teams with cleaning, resets, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
• Assist with resetting stations, restocking supplies, and keeping service areas ready for continuous operation.
• Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Remove garbage and recycling regularly, maintaining cleanliness in waste and disposal areas.
• Assist with basic kitchen tasks as needed, such as food prep support and general cleaning.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, notifying management when inventory is low.
• Support overall kitchen organization, including maintaining clear workspaces, proper storage, and cleanliness of floors and surfaces.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to jump in and support both the back-of-house and front-of-house team members as needed.
• Reliable transportation required to ensure consistent, on-time arrival for scheduled shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Work Environment

• Prolonged standing and bending for up to 8+ hours per shift.
• Frequent, repetitive use of hands for washing, scrubbing, and handling kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to approximately 25–40 lbs (e.g., dish racks, garbage bins).
• Exposure to hot water, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen heat.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate to high noise levels.
