Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevEx Engineer in the United States.
This role sits at the intersection of developer platform engineering and AI-driven software delivery, focused on transforming how engineering teams build, test, and ship products at scale. You will design and evolve an AI-native developer experience that integrates intelligent tooling, agentic workflows, and automation across the entire SDLC. Working in a high-impact, mission-driven environment, you will help define the standards and infrastructure that enable faster, safer, and more efficient software delivery. This is a highly visible role where technical depth meets cultural influence, shaping how engineers adopt and leverage AI in their daily work. You will build internal platforms, improve CI/CD systems, and introduce next-generation developer tooling powered by LLMs. Your work will directly accelerate engineering velocity while maintaining reliability, security, and operational excellence.
- You will champion and drive adoption of AI-powered developer tools such as Cursor and Claude Code, helping engineers integrate them into daily workflows and maximize productivity through hands-on enablement and experimentation.
- You will design, build, and maintain internal developer platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automation systems using tools such as GitHub Actions, ensuring teams can ship secure, high-quality software efficiently and consistently.
- You will architect and implement AI-enabled engineering workflows, including automated code review, test generation, documentation, and deployment pipelines powered by LLMs and agent-based systems.
- You will define and operationalize DevEx standards, establish engineering productivity metrics, and continuously improve cycle time, reliability, and developer satisfaction across the organization.
- You will build secure, scalable infrastructure for running AI agents and automation systems in controlled environments, ensuring observability, compliance, and safe execution within production constraints.
- You will act as a technical leader and cultural catalyst, running workshops, mentoring engineers, and influencing engineering practices to embrace AI-native development methodologies.
This role requires strong software engineering experience combined with a deep understanding of developer experience systems and platform engineering. You should have at least 5+ years in software engineering and 2+ years in DevEx, platform engineering, or developer tooling roles.
- Strong backend engineering skills in Python and/or TypeScript, with experience building APIs, CLI tools, and automation services.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developer platforms using tools like Argo CD, GitHub Actions, or similar systems.
- Proven experience working with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud.
- Deep familiarity with AI coding tools and agentic workflows, with the ability to form strong opinions on their effectiveness and practical use in engineering environments.
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to balance long-term platform vision with pragmatic, production-ready execution.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence engineers, write clear technical documentation, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cultural and technical change within engineering organizations.
- Competitive compensation package with base salary typically in the range of $180,000–$200,000 USD, plus equity opportunities.
- Open Paid Time Off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive wellness and professional development stipends.
- Full health coverage benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
- Home office setup support, internet reimbursement, and additional lifestyle and learning stipends.
- Employee stock option plan and referral bonus programs.
- Flexible, remote-first work environment with occasional in-person collaboration opportunities.
