Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to own the website maintenance and development function of the Group , which encompasses spearheading core front-end and back-end updates, ensuring completeness and performance optimization of Shopify features, timely resolution of support tickets, and proper management of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Client Success Managers, brand partners). The role's functional scope acts as a central execution point for campaign rollouts and tech-stack enhancements.

You are expected to anchor the function and drive execution through the guidance of your technical lead. You will report to the Tech Lead / Operations & Technology Tools Head, champion the website lifecycle process, and establish and maintain proper structural controls in Shopify Liquid theme development, landing page optimizations, and application integrations. This person should be highly confident with technology and will use it to its full potential, knowing that front-end experiences can be optimized and internal tools and SaaS platforms can be integrated effectively to drive commercial results.

The ideal candidate understands the intricacies of ecommerce operations and is exceptionally comfortable working with code and application ecosystems. This person will work closely with Client Success Managers and occasionally with cross-functional technical teams, advising them on different website solutions, scoping project timelines, and validating technical feasibility data.

Job Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the resolution of technical tickets submitted by clients to ensure smooth, continuous functionality and high-speed performance of existing Shopify websites.
• Ensure that regular website assets are updated and managed properly, including themes, promotional images, and site content to secure an optimal user experience.
• Build, update, and manage Shopify applications and theme modifications to ensure they are consistently working as expected, up-to-date, and fully functional.
• Develop and implement conversion-focused landing pages, ensuring that execution precisely meets design specifications and business performance goals.
• Support special marketing campaigns, ensuring smooth deployment, zero downtime, and accurate data tracking across all digital client storefronts.
• Work closely with Client Success Managers (CSMs) to identify resource needs, define project scopes, and estimate required man-hours for new features or value-added services.
• Lead development tasks and conduct high-level quality assurance to verify that all deployed updates, features, and site improvements meet strict quality standards before going live.
• Manage stakeholder expectations transparently regarding implementation costs, development timelines, and project constraints for custom client website requests.
• Provide timely review, risk escalation, and proactive recommendations within the tech team by constantly monitoring SaaS configurations and platform infrastructure.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field of study.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in professional website development, with dedicated exposure to dealing with Shopify Liquid.
• Strong technical background and troubleshooting knowledge in fundamental web technologies including CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Proactive and high-ownership attitude, with a knack for identifying system bugs and investigating issues before they escalate to critical levels.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships effortlessly.
• A self-starter who is detail-oriented and exhibits strong prioritization skills, enabling assertive decision-making under high-pressure project deadlines.
