Job Description
Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life-shaping services that support them to thrive. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally-appropriate learning that meets the needs of each unique child and family. Specifically, we focus on integrated autism care and a play-based model of applied behavior analysis (ABA) based on the principles of the Early Start Denver Model.
This role is a great fit for a candidate looking to drive impactful, strategic operations in a high-growth startup. Reporting to either a Director of Central Operations or our VP of Revenue Cycle Management and working closely with the SVP of Central Operations (ex-BCG Principal). Successful candidates should be highly organized, comfortable navigating and steering complex processes, maintain poise in a fast-paced environment, and be mission-driven to support young children with autism spectrum disorder.
Because we operate in a highly dynamic environment, your scope, role, and level can grow quickly alongside the company. We are flexible and can tailor initial scope and title to match your specific level of experience.
This position can be fully remote, but optimally involves occasional co-location in Denver, CO, Chicago, IL or travel to other locations to support the work of Soars Central Operations team.
What Youll Do As a crucial strategic and operational partner on our Central Operations team, you will work to build the systems necessary to scale the operations of our Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) function, which can include a focus on, but limited to, Payor Authorizations, Provider Credentialing, and Billing/Denial management. While the specifics of the work can vary depending on the area of focus, the type of work will be similar and may include:
- Develop deep operational and payor specific knowledge: To start, you will work alongside our teammate in Revenue Cycle Management to develop a deep knowledge or existing Soar system and Payor requirements. This hands-on experience is pivotal to being effective in this role
- Build technology to drive scale: This lane is rich in both structured and unstructured data. Were not looking for someone with a background in computer science or software development. Instead, were looking for a well-rounded individual who is excited about the prospect of leveraging different generative AI tools, e.g. Cursor, Claude, Chat-GPT, Gemini, etc. and their existing analytical toolkit to build systems that scale with Soars exciting growth path. Technology builds can include things such as algorithm design, app development in app sheet, Googles no-code app platform, workflow automation, etc.
- Own the operationalization of new technology and/or process: The teammate we hire for this role will also be responsible for standing up new processes and operationalizing the use of new tools built so that the RCM team can realize the full value of the change. In other words, were not just looking for someone who can build technology were looking for someone who can, and is excited by, the prospect of building holistic systems that incorporate technology, process, role design, and policy evolution.
- Lead offshoring initiatives: When regulation allows, we strive to offshore the more mechanical work managed by the RCM team when possible. The goal is not to outsource the RCM team. Instead, the goal is twofold: (1) free up the RCM teams time to focus on their more complex tasks, and (2) maintain a high level of quality as Soars number of clients, staff, and contracted payors grow over time. Additionally, youll directly manage the offshore team support tasks relevant to the RCM department youre working most closely with. This includes training, tool / process development and improvement, and management through mutually agreed to SLAs and quality checks.
- Develop and operationalize metrics: Build on the standard metrics we have for each RCM department and support the department managers in managing the team against these metrics.
Qualifications
- Exceptional organization & project management: You proactively drive complex processes forward, meticulously tracking a high volume of details, deadlines, and operational nuances
- Entrepreneurial & adaptable: You don't just follow playbooks, you build them. You thrive autonomously in a fast-paced environment and easily pivot to address shifting priorities and new market realities
- Analytical & interpersonal agility: You can seamlessly switch between evaluating the financial, clinical, and operational decisions you make terms and building strong, collaborative relationships across Soar teams
- Relevant experience: Were looking for teammates who have at least 1-year of experience in either at top-tier Management Consulting firm at the Associate, Analyst, or Consultant level or Investment Banking firm as an Analyst or Associate and are proven high performers.
Why Join Soar Autism Center? At Soar Autism Center, we are deeply passionate about helping children and families thrive. We provide a supportive and collaborative work environment where your leadership can make a meaningful impact on our clients, staff, and the community. As part of a growing company, you'll have exciting opportunities for career growth and contribute to Soar's continued innovation and success.
The role is a great fit for a high-performing early or mid-career professional looking to pivot away from professional services and looking to move into a dynamic startup with long-term growth potential in our Central Operations function. We have several ex-BCG teammates, including our CEO, and the work environment will often feel similar to BCG, with a greater emphasis on operationalizing work and accountability to outcomes. Our work is mission-driven, rewarding, fun, and rigorous.
