Job Description
Position Summary
Place materials on a rack to set them up for paint or finishing touches. As part of your duties, you may work with materials such as lead, chromium, zinc, and more. You are also tasked with maintaining high safety standards on the job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Applies knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques, and work aids by performing the following duties:
- Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
- Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
- Regulates controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings.
- Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
- Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with industry standards.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
- Crosstrain in different processes within department.
- Cleans the site after work is done.
- Other various duties as needed or as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities including (but not limited to):
- Basic data entry into manufacturing software system.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and write the English language.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
