ABA Therapist l Behavior Technician (BT)In-Home ABA Services

Position Summary

Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ABA Therapists and Behavior Technicians implement individualized treatment plans while creating engaging, meaningful learning experiences for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental disabilities.

Compensation

$18.00–$28.00 per hour

Compensation is based on experience, education, certification, and qualifications.

ResponsibilitiesDirect Client Care
  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes following individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
  • Teach communication, play, social, adaptive living, and behavioral skills through evidence-based interventions.
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with consistency and fidelity.
  • Support children in achieving meaningful goals that promote independence and confidence.
Family Collaboration
  • Build positive relationships with families.
  • Model behavioral strategies during caregiver coaching opportunities.
  • Support skill generalization across daily routines and natural environments.
  • Communicate professionally with caregivers regarding session activities while maintaining client confidentiality.

Clinical Documentation

  • Collect accurate behavioral data throughout each therapy session.
  • Complete session notes and required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicaid, funding source, BACB, HIPAA, and RCG documentation standards.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to successfully pass all required background screenings
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with your clinical team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential (preferred but not required)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Human Services, Child Development, or a related field
  • Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Experience in childcare, education, summer camps, or youth programming
  • Passion for helping children and families succeed

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Sit, kneel, squat, bend, and transition between floor and standing positions throughout the day
  • Keep pace with active children during play and therapeutic activities
  • Implement safety procedures and crisis management techniques as trained
  • Travel between client homes within the assigned territory
