Overview

The Sales & Customer Account Lead is responsible for the precise, disciplined, and compliant execution of assigned CCS Aerospace, Defense, and Industrial key customer accounts. This role supports contractual performance by ensuring accurate demand alignment, disciplined order book administration, and consistent, compliant communication across CCS Sales, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Accounting functions.

Serving as a central execution and control point, the Sales & Customer Account Lead upholds information integrity, execution discipline, and exceptional customer service standards in support of on-time delivery, contractual compliance, and CCS’s reputation as a trusted supplier.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Sales-to-Operations coordination interface for assigned key Aerospace, Defense, and Industrial customer accounts, ensuring consistent, professional engagement aligned with customer expectations and contractual commitments.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate, complete, and compliant customer order books within ERP/MRP systems, ensuring alignment with contracts, approved production plans, and capacity constraints.
  • Participate in recurring key customer order book and production review meetings; document execution status, risks, and actions in accordance with established governance and audit-ready procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute approved operational status communications ensuring clarity, accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to export control and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional actions to proactively address delivery risks, material constraints, and schedule changes, escalating issues through defined governance channels when required.
  • Support controlled, prioritized expediting activities consistent with Operations leadership direction and approved production plans.
  • Support early engagement on new program awards by assisting with system setup, demand validation, and structured transition into Production in accordance with internal readiness processes.
  • Administer customer portals to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submissions, supporting transparency and performance expectations.
  • Monitor customer scorecard metrics; investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrective responses with internal stakeholders.
  • Support sales planning and forecasting activities through accurate consolidation of demand inputs and operational assumptions in support of capacity planning and budget development.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs for customer surveys, audits, and formal performance reviews.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend procedural, system, or data-quality improvements that strengthen execution discipline and customer confidence.
  • Perform all duties in strict compliance with export control regulations, AS/ISO quality system requirements, contractual obligations, and company safety standards.
  • Position is based in Phoenix and may require limited travel (<10%) with controlled, professional customer interaction.

Customer Service Expectations

  • Represent CCS with exceptional professionalism, discretion, and responsiveness in all customer-facing interactions.
  • Serve as a trusted and reliable point of contact, ensuring customers receive timely, accurate, and consistent information aligned with internal approvals and contractual commitments.
  • Anticipate customer needs by proactively monitoring order status, delivery risks, and performance metrics, addressing issues before escalation is required.
  • Communicate clearly, factually, and diplomatically—particularly when managing schedule changes, constraints, or corrective actions.
  • Maintain strict adherence to export control, contractual, and confidentiality requirements in all communications and data exchanges.
  • Ensure customer portals, reports, and formal communications meet expectations for accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
  • Coordinate internally to present a unified, disciplined CCS position, avoiding conflicting or informal messaging.
  • Balance customer advocacy with operational and contractual discipline, protecting both customer relationships and CCS interests.
  • Uphold CCS’s reputation as a high-reliability supplier through consistency, follow-through, and professional judgment.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be ITAR compliant and eligible to work in a U.S. export-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting programs, customers, or operations within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, supply chain, or production planning environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and disciplined, structured data management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Strong background in contract and PO review process
  • Varied experience in operating and managing CRMs
  • Experience supporting Aerospace and/or DoD customers with exposure to contractual execution, AS/ISO quality systems, and export-controlled environments.
  • Familiarity with earned value concepts, production performance metrics, and customer scorecards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to assess execution status, risks, and data integrity.
  • Clear, concise, and highly professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple customer priorities within defined processes and governance structures.
  • Disciplined, service-oriented, execution-focused mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
