Job Description

Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders (DCND), one of the largest physician owned and operated private practices in Ohio, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant - CMA or Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN. The CMA or LPN will provide excellent patient care by completing patient intake, managing patient records, and reviewing patient care with physicians. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a full-time (M-F, no holidays or weekends!) outpatient practice, collaborating with DCND, Inc. physicians, researchers, and other clinical staff. Medical office experience is preferred - but not required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay - The pay range for the Certified Medical Assistant position is $19.00 - $27.00 per hour and for an LPN is $24.57-$35.13 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good-faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.

What We Require for This Role

  • CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), or RMA (AMT) certification or LPN licensure
  • Ability to travel between our offices in the Beavercreek/Centerville area.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen.
  • Has had a TB Skin test completed in the past 12 months or is willing to have one done upon hire.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously through the duration of the shift.
  • Has the availability to work between the core hours of 6:30a-5pm, with the actual hours each day varying around the assigned provider schedules.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and screen patients for Swoop® brain MRI examinations under physician supervision.
  • Position patients and operate the Swoop® portable MRI system according to Hyperfine guidelines.
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures to support a safe, comfortable patient experience.
  • Manage imaging workflow activities, including documentation and scheduling support as needed.
  • Coordinate routine preventive maintenance checks on machine, as recommended by manufacturer.

Other Responsibilities when not working with the Swoop brain MRI include but are not limited to:

  • Assist patients to exam rooms and complete patient intake.
  • Document charts, including scanning and barcoding of documents as needed.
  • Assist the providers with their daily schedules and work follow-ups in between patients.
  • Maintain exam rooms, including restocking and putting away deliveries of medical supplies and inventory.
  • Administer memory testing.
