Location: Morristown, Tennessee

The Senior Electrical Engineer will serve as the technical expert for electrical controls and automation throughout the manufacturing facility. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment in an industrial environment
- Strong troubleshooting experience with PLC-controlled equipment, industrial controls, electrical systems, and machine communications
- Experience with industrial networking, traceability systems, and PC hardware/software configuration, backups, and support
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, analyze equipment failures, and implement long-term corrective actions
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs and drives, Allen-Bradley PLCs, FANUC robotics, or TOYOPUC/Toyota automation systems
- Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience, particularly supporting Japanese-built manufacturing equipment
What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will serve as the technical expert for electrical controls and automation throughout the manufacturing facility. This individual will support production by troubleshooting equipment issues, improving system reliability, and leading continuous improvement efforts while partnering with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, controls, and automation issues on manufacturing equipment
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions
- Maintain and support PLC programs, machine backups, and industrial communication networks
- Configure and troubleshoot PC hardware, software, backups, and manufacturing communication systems
- Support traceability systems and equipment communication across production lines
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and machine documentation
- Develop electrical specifications and support installation of new equipment
- Support robotics, automated assembly systems, and machine controls
- Participate in equipment capability studies, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement projects
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, manufacturing engineering, and quality to maximize equipment uptime
- Prioritize and respond to production downtime while balancing ongoing engineering projects
- Maintain engineering documentation, electrical drawings, PLC backups, and process records
- Provide technical support during equipment startups, upgrades, and process improvements
- Assist with training production and maintenance personnel on equipment and controls as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
