The position is full-time, 38-hour work week. Work hours will be Wednesday through Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During the training period, workdays will be Monday through Thursday. Some early mornings, late evenings, or special events may be required, based on the needs of the Department.
We are looking for someone who:
Possess strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, the ability to work independently, and experience dealing with the public in challenging situations. Has knowledge of municipal government, code enforcement practices, and investigative procedures.
Education: high school or GED equivalent
Licenses or Certificates:
Required at time of hire: Possession of a valid California State Class C driver's license
Required within three months of employment: PC 832 (citation authority)
Highly Desirable: Municipal experience in inspection or investigative work.
