Heavy Equipment Operator

We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Valicor Environmental Services at the Fort Wayne facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy equipment, specifically excavators, and will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to environmental facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

- Operator a forklift and skid loader safely and efficiently.

- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.

- Assist in the handling and processing of waste materials at the facility.

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks and meet project deadlines.

- Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an excavator operator, preferably in an environmental or construction setting.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Ability to operate heavy equipment in various weather conditions and environments.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

- A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.

- Capacity to provide and follow directions.

(Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.)

Qualifications:

- Certification in excavator operation or equivalent training.

- Experience operating other heavy equipment, such as loaders or excavators.

- Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
