The Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Mechanic III to perform advanced maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft structures, structural components, and engines involving complex-to-extreme difficulty. As a senior technician, you will serve as a primary technical resource, providing professional guidance to solve intricate mechanical issues by interpreting complex technical data. This role requires exceptional organizational skills to prioritize workloads, ensure delivery schedules are met, collaborate directly with engineers and customers, and mentor lower-level technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex-to-extreme difficulty repairs, overhauls, and modifications on aircraft structures, engines, flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
- Provide ongoing technical expertise, mentorship, and daily guidance to lower-level technicians across all maintenance and modification efforts.
- Deliver high-level technical support directly to structural/mechanical engineers and customers to resolve unique operational challenges.
- Apply comprehensive airframe and powerplant systems knowledge to isolate complex malfunctions and restore systems to peak operational condition.
- Interpret advanced blueprints and manufacturers' manuals; execute accurate, compliant entries in official aircraft logs and maintenance records.
- Utilize strong organizational skills to prioritize workloads and maintain project schedules to ensure timely aircraft delivery.
Requirements:
- Thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and component replacement.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal and advanced structural modifications and repairs.
- Proven ability to diagnose and determine the functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
- Detailed knowledge of, and precision with, specialized aircraft tools, including test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.
