Position: Foot Courier

Shift: Monday – Friday

8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay: $17.00/hr. + Bonus Opportunity

Couriers have the opportunity to earn additional compensation based on weekly delivery revenue and performance.

Messengers are a crucial link in the logistics chain, ensuring that packages and documents reach their destinations swiftly, securely, and as directed. Employed by a fast-paced, on-demand delivery operation, messengers work closely with dispatchers who provide real-time instructions and assignments throughout the day.

Primary Responsibilities

• Pickup & Delivery: Pick up and deliver envelopes, packages, shopping bags, garment bags, and other items safely and on time throughout Manhattan.
• Route Navigation: Travel primarily on foot and use public transportation as needed to complete time-sensitive deliveries efficiently.
• Dispatcher Communication: Stay in regular contact with dispatch throughout the shift to receive assignments, provide updates, and communicate delays or delivery issues.
• Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers at offices, retail locations, hotels, studios, and other delivery destinations.
• Delivery Documentation: Accurately track pickups and deliveries, obtain required signatures, and verify addresses and recipient information.
• Package Handling: Handle all packages carefully and securely while following company procedures and delivery instructions.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Manhattan and the NYC subway system
• Comfortable using a smartphone and navigation applications
• Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers
• Comfortable walking and standing throughout the workday and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely carry delivery items weighing up to approximately 14 lbs.
• Able to work independently and adapt to changing, time-sensitive delivery assignments
• Prior courier, messenger, delivery, or customer-service experience is helpful but not required
