Position Summary
The Account Manager builds and manages long-term relationships with Radiant network stations and clients, with a focus on service, execution, and value creation. This role partners closely with operations to ensure product and service expectations are consistently met and drives continuous improvement while articulating customer value across multiple offices and geographies.
This role operates with a high degree of independence and regularly exercises discretion in daily decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth
Build relationships across multiple levels and departments to penetrate Radiant network stations and accounts
Conduct regular business reviews using internal data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and retain/grow business throughout strategic solutions
Collaborate with and influence station and account team members across geographies and divisions to execute account strategy
Apply strategic negotiation and sales tactics for complex, management-level pricing and solution discussions
Share customer-specific data, requirements, and expectations with internal teams to build viable solutions
Monitor financial, volume, and service performance reports, adjusting pricing and processes to drive efficiency
Interpret internal/external data and market intelligence to deliver business insights that improve outcomes

Serve as the primary point of contact for stations and customers within an assigned portfolio
Manage conflict and navigate difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy
Advocate internally for customer-specific needs, ensuring proper alignment and resource prioritization
Partner with the capacity/product/supply team on strategic solutions for complex issues
Engage internal leadership to ensure alignment and participation in account strategy

Provide customers with holistic transition plans, including timelines and automation opportunities

Qualifications & Skills
Education and Industry Knowledge
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or International Trade preferred
Minimum 1 year of account management experience
Full Truckload (FTL) and Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) experience
Domestic transportation experience
FTL quoting experience a plus
Strong knowledge of North American geography
Transportation/logistics industry experience an asset

Work Schedule & Environment
Full-time, minimum 8 hours/day with flexibility as needed
Minimum 3 days/week in Radiant office; remote otherwise (subject to change)
Standard office environment; moderate noise level

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 annually (based on experience and market).
Commission Plan: Uncapped commissions tied to new business gross margin and overall portfolio performance. On-target earnings of $58,000 – $80,000+ for top performers.
Starting pay will vary based on education, experience, skills, and demonstrated track record.
