Job Description
ThoughtSpot is a Data & AI platform that helps companies turn data into enterprise advantage. We're Gartner MQ leaders with more than 1,000 customers globally and offices in Mountain View, Chicago, London, Bangalore, Sydney, and Tokyo.
The Role:We're looking for a People Business Partner based in London to be the dedicated HRBP contact for our EMEA region, while also serving as the global HRBP for our Finance, Legal, and HR functions. This is a dual-scope role: regional depth on one side, functional partnership across three global teams on the other. You'll report to the VP People, Global Head of HRBPs.
You'll work closely with EMEA people managers on the ground while also embedding with Finance, Legal, and HR leadership worldwide understanding how those functions operate, what they need to hire and grow, and translating that into people strategy, not paperwork.
We believe empowerment plus accountability equals excellence: this role isn't about waiting for tickets to land in a queue, it's about knowing your business and functions well enough to see problems before they surface.
What You'll Do:- Serve as the primary HRBP for all EMEA-based employees and managers, covering employee relations, performance management, org design, and local policy/compliance across the region.
- Act as the global HRBP for the Finance, Legal, and HR functions, partnering with leaders in each to align headcount planning, talent strategy, and org structure with business goals.
- Advise managers on performance, promotion, and compensation decisions, and coach them through difficult employee relations conversations with clarity and speed.
- Lead or support workforce planning, org design, and change management initiatives within EMEA and within the three global functions.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring plans and role scoping for EMEA and for Finance, Legal, and HR globally.
- Ensure EMEA employment practices remain compliant with local labor law across the countries where we operate, flagging risk early rather than after the fact.
- Use people data to identify trends, attrition, engagement, promotion velocity and bring insight to leadership, not just reporting.
- Champion a consistent, fair employee experience across regions and functions, adapting global people programs to local context where needed.
What You Bring:
- 6+ years of HRBP or generalist HR experience, including direct partnership with senior leaders
- Working knowledge of UK and broader EMEA employment law and HR compliance
- Working knowledge of US labour laws and employee relations issues
- Experience supporting multiple stakeholder groups or functions simultaneously
- Strong judgment on employee relations matters, with a track record of resolving issues directly and early
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and building process where none exists yet
Preferred:
- Experience partnering specifically with GTM teams (Sales, Customer Success, Solution Engineering, Marketing), Finance, Legal, or HR functions
- Experience in a high-growth or scaling company environment
- Familiarity with people analytics tools and translating data into recommendations
