Job Description

Description:

About Us
We are an established furniture and jewelry business with over 30 years in the community, known for timeless design, quality craftsmanship, and a welcoming customer experience. Our TX locations, have a loyal customer base and a distinctive product mix, and we’re ready to partner with a dynamic leader to grow the jewelry business to its next level.

The Opportunity
As our Jewelry Partner, you operate the jewelry department as your own business line within our store. You’ll lead the sales floor, shape the assortment, drive local marketing, and build a repeat consignment client base with meaningful autonomy. Our current partners typically target total annual earnings in the low-to-mid six figures when the business hits agreed profit levels, which is shared equally.

What We Bring to the Partnership

You do not need to be a bookkeeper or accountant, our team provides:

  • Prime display space for the jewelry department within our store.
  • Back-office bookkeeping and tax reporting related to the jewelry department’s revenue and expenses.
  • Credit card processing access and integrated POS infrastructure.
  • Customer consignment payment processing (including checks).
  • Advertising support and inclusion in store-wide marketing efforts.

You focus on:

  • Growing sales, profit, and the jewelry brand within the store.
  • Curating and sourcing compelling inventory, including consignment where appropriate.
  • Building a loyal, repeat client base in-store and through in-home/private appointments.
  • Hiring, leading, training, and recognizing your team.
  • Developing and executing local marketing and events.

Compensation and Structure
This is a 1099 contractor partnership with profit-sharing and/or equity participation in the jewelry department, subject to a separate partnership agreement that outlines specific terms, performance metrics, and long-term options.

Requirements:

Who You Are

• You are outgoing, relationship driven, and comfortable being the “face” of the jewelry department.

• You naturally remember names, stories, and special dates, and your clients seek you out when they walk in.

• You understand fine jewelry basics (metals, gemstones, quality, repairs, custom work) and explain value clearly and honestly.

• You think like an owner and pay attention to traffic, conversion, pricing, margin, and client lifetime value.

• You’re comfortable with POS systems, basic inventory management, and using social media and online channels to generate interest and traffic.

• You communicate clearly and professionally when issues arise and value long term trust over short term wins.

• You bring positive energy to the store, enjoy celebrating wins, and keep the mood upbeat even on slower days.

Experience and Skills We Strongly Prefer

• GIA certification or similar education.

• Typically 3+ years in jewelry or luxury retail with sales targets and operational responsibilities, or equivalent high touch sales/service experience plus at least 1 year in jewelry.

• Experience strategically pricing inventory based on market research, condition, demand, and agreed consignment terms, balancing speed of sale with margin.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and, when needed, recruit a small sales team.

• Comfort reading simple financial reports and using them to guide pricing, promotions, and inventory decisions.

• Experience with jewelry design, manufacturing, or sourcing.

• Enthusiasm for organizing in store events, building community partnerships, and leveraging social media or e commerce tools.

What You Will Do

• Define and pursue ambitious but realistic profit goals for the jewelry department in collaboration with the Partners.

• Develop and execute your own sales and marketing strategies, including events, in home and private property previews, local partnerships, and social media.

• Be the visible leader on the floor: greet clients, present collections, guide high emotion purchases, and close sales.

• Protect the brand by ensuring honest, transparent communication and careful handling of all jewelry and consignment pieces.

• Employ, lead, and support your jewelry sales staff as needed, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and aligned to high quality service standards.

• Shape the product mix by identifying sourcing and consignment opportunities that fit our brand quality and clientele.

• Oversee the day to day functioning of the jewelry department, including inventory accuracy, visual presentation, and coordination with our back office on vendor and consignment payments.

How You Show Up to Lead

• You communicate clearly and promptly with clients, vendors, team members, and partners.

• You treat coworkers and partners with respect, even under pressure, and address conflict directly and constructively.

• You recognize and reward great performance, and you give honest feedback when something needs to improve.

• You value trust and reputation and act accordingly in every interaction.

If you love being on the floor meeting new people, closing sales, hosting events, and building a fun, energetic team, you’ll thrive here. To explore this partnership, connect with us
