Offering daily barista service, happy hour and dinner Wednesday to Sunday, and weekend brunch for hotel guests and locals, the menu is hearty and simple, yet refined by nature, paying homage to roadside food halls in Southern France. It's shared mussels and a beer, or burgers and martinis. It's sensible, unpretentious, and totally chic.POSITION PROFILE:We're looking for a friendly Server who's enthusiastic about serving tasty food, drinks, and coffee while forging authentic connections with guests at Saint James Diner.THE TASK AT HAND:Assess, anticipate, and meet guest needs, responding quickly without losing focus on the dining experience.Communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and management, adapting to different personalities with ease.Understand the full menu of food and beverage items, communicating it to guests effectively and accurately.Recognize and resolve problems using good judgment, tact, and initiative, in line with company policy.Perform basic accounting and math, operating cash registers, the Micros system, and hot beverage makers.Keep a clean, organized workspace per side-work guidelines.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:Required1 year related experience as a Server in a high-quality full-service or fast-casual environment.Clear thinker who stays calm and resolves problems using good judgment; works cohesively as part of a team.Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data.Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.Able to lift up to 30lbs.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:Competitive compensation package with medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus 401(k).Paid time off, holiday pay, and sick pay.Career advancement and professional development as we open new hotels and restaurants nationwide.Employee discounts across our entire portfolio (25 hotels and more to come!).
