About the position:
We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy by leveraging data analytics, automation, and reconciliation processes, while providing strategic insights through advanced reporting tools such as Power BI.
Responsible of all finance activities, including general ledger, cost control, inventory, and company fixed assets, and responsible for preparing financial statements and reports, as necessary or mandatory.
This role should be based in Mexico City
Main responsibilities:
Accounting & Reconciliation
- Elaborate transactional accounting entries/provisions.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Execute processes in ERP: Average Cost, On Line Accounting, Branch Office Consolidation (UK) in ERP, Calculate of the Result UK/ México.
- Amortization and chargeback analysis.
- Reconcile statements of OUPs UK, Canada and Spain branches.
- Cost Center validation, Benefit Center and Chart of Accounts maintenance.
- Responsible for the accounting of doubtful debt
- GAAP to GAAP (MX/UK/IFRS) reconciliation, account closing checklist follow up & Compliance
- Fixed Assets Management
- Registry of physical inventory (Cyclical & Annual).
- Asset Creation & Depreciation Accounting.
- Monthly Depreciation runs and set-up.
- Process Automation
- Design and implement automated workflows for recurring accounting tasks (e.g., reconciliations, reporting, journal entries).
- Adhere to OUP Ethical Policies
This is a full-time role.
About You:
The successful candidate will need to possess the following skills:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Ability to design and implement automation solutions for accounting processes.
- Experience: 3-5 years in accounting roles reporting outside the country.
Familiarity with automation tools and database management.
Desirable:
GJC Level: I4 (for internal purposes only)
