Opportunity

As Deputy Manager - Accounts, you will manage a broad range of finance and accounting activities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across key financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end royalty process, including author onboarding, master data management, royalty accounting, accruals, payouts, and related tax documentation such as TRC, Form 16A, and other author compliance requirements.

• Ensure timely compliance with statutory, secretarial, and tax regulations through effective coordination with consultants, maintenance of compliance trackers, and governance reporting.

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packs, MIS reports, and analytical schedules to support Group reporting and management decision-making.

• Oversee domestic and international payment operations, including banking transactions, H2H payment runs, treasury activities, foreign remittances, and compliance with applicable tax regulations.

• Manage TDS compliance, including deduction, deposit, reconciliations, and periodic return filings for assigned entities.

• Support statutory audits, internal audits, and Internal Control Framework (ICF) reviews by preparing audit schedules, documentation, reconciliations, and ensuring timely closure of audit observations.

• Drive process improvements, strengthen financial controls, and enhance operational efficiency across royalty, compliance, banking, and reporting functions.

This role will have a direct impact on the Finance function by ensuring robust financial governance, supporting business decision-making through accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

About You Essential Criteria

• Strong experience in Finance & Accounts.

• Hands-on experience in SAP-FI or similar ERP systems.

• Experience in compliance management, banking operations, and financial reporting.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience supporting audits, financial controls, and governance processes.

Desirable Criteria

• MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA Inter, or Commerce Graduate.

• Experience within publishing, media, or service industries.

• Knowledge of royalty accounting, treasury operations, and process improvement initiatives.
