Laundry Attendant in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho at Days Inn, Cda

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that towels, sheets and linens are cleaned and ironed properly; and maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room.

Essential Functions:

• Sort laundry to be cleaned.
• Operate washers, dryers and finishing equipment.
• Fold, count, and distribute clean linen.
• Pick up and deliver full laundry bins to and from storage rooms.
• Performs cleaning and organization of storage rooms.
• Clean the laundry machinery.
• Assist in table linen and rooms linen inventories.
• Ensure that chemicals are used in accordance with safety regulations.
• Report all repairs to designated manager.
• Perform errands for guests as requested i.e., delivering towels, blankets, pillows, etc.
• Assist with answering the telephone.
• Ensure that all guests are greeted.
• Maintain good response time to guest and management requests.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Keep work area neat and organized.
• Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
• Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
• Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of chemicals and operation of industrial machines.
• Ability to:
• Work any day of the week and any hour.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Work as part of a team.
• Communicate effectively.
• Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Work well under pressure.
