VOLUNTEER ASSOCIATE in MORRIS, Illinois at Morris Hospital

• DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

  • Assists with the daily operations of the Volunteer Services department and gift shop. Supports volunteer recruitment, placement, retention and engagement. Works with the department manager to plan volunteer appreciation activities and events, including the annual recognition luncheon. Maintains the volunteer database. Takes on new projects and instruction as needed to uphold the vitality of the Volunteer Services department and gift shop. Participates with the Rhythm of our Youth cardiac screening team to ensure successful screening events. Engages with school support staff to prepare screening events and works a flexible schedule on set-up and screening days.

• QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional/Educational
    • Associates Degree preferred or with proven experience and demonstrated ability working in a non-for-profit organization.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Previous experience working with volunteers is preferred, with the ability to exhibit appreciation and respect of the volunteer workforce.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.

    • Demonstrate analytical skills.
    • Able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
