THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Gate Attendant. This role will control access to the facility, maintain accurate accountability of people and vehicles on site, support freight movement, and help ensure trailers are not released until required shipment checks are complete.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Receive and process incoming road freight drivers, contractors, and visitors; verify the purpose of each visit and direct them to the appropriate Fuji contact or department.
Follow identification, badge/tag, and site-entry procedures and maintain accountability for visitors, contractors, truck drivers, and employees entering and leaving the facility.
Monitor the Access Control Manager system, verify badge/token activity, and investigate or report discrepancies promptly.
Obtain Freight Order Numbers, verify pickup appointments, provide trailer assignments, and communicate site instructions to drivers.
Before releasing a trailer, verify seal numbers, required QA approvals, shipping documents, trailer temperature, loading conditions, and destination information.
Maintain accurate, current, audit-ready truck traffic, contractor, and visitor logs.
Follow emergency procedures and support personnel accountability during evacuations.
Communicate discrepancies, security concerns, documentation issues, or shipment-release concerns before they become larger problems.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Site access is controlled consistently and required identification/accountability procedures are followed.
Truck, visitor, and contractor records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
Trailer-release checks are completed before outbound movement.
Discrepancies and security or documentation concerns are escalated promptly.
Emergency accountability responsibilities are performed accurately and calmly.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM

Strong attention to detail and comfort following verification steps consistently.
Professional, calm communication with drivers, visitors, contractors, employees, and internal departments.
Dependability and sound judgment when something does not match expected documentation or access processes.
Comfort working with electronic access-control information and detailed logs.
Safety-conscious, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality and food-safety requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED and six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work Fuji's DuPont rotating 12-hour schedule, including days/nights as assigned and weekends and holidays that fall within the rotation.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position safely and consistently, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and other job-related documents.
Ability to complete routine records and reports and communicate effectively by radio and with team members.
Basic mathematical skills including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and basic algebra concepts as required by the work.
Ability to apply practical judgment to written, oral, and diagram-based instructions and address routine problems in standardized situations.
Successful completion of applicable background screening, drug screening, and job-related pre-placement physical.

CAREER GROWTH
