JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility systems and production equipment throughout the brewery. This position requires strong electrical and commercial HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience, along with a solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose equipment issues and carry repairs through to completion.

Candidates should:

• Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant maintenance experience, with a strong background in electrical and/or commercial HVAC troubleshooting and repair.
• Possess strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to safely troubleshoot high-voltage equipment, three-phase motors, motor starters, contactors, relays, sensors, and basic control panel components.
• Be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Have experience maintaining and troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment, including thermostats and controls, refrigerant systems, condensate drains, fans, belts, motors, and related components.
• Possess strong mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps, valves, plumbing systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Be able to systematically diagnose equipment problems, identify root causes, and determine appropriate repairs.
• Be proficient with basic hand and power tools and understand their proper and safe use.
• Be comfortable using and interpreting measurement and diagnostic devices, including multimeters, pressure gauges, temperature gauges, calipers, tape measures, and other maintenance-related instruments.
• Be able to follow maintenance and repair assignments through to completion and clearly document completed work.
• Have strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Be willing to assist with other facility and operational needs as necessary, including occasional custodial duties and support for other departments.
• Must be available to work Saturdays every week.
• Be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
• Live in or be willing to relocate to South Florida.
• Be a dependable, self-motivated individual who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience with any of the following is strongly preferred:

• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Pneumatic systems
• Glycol chiller and refrigeration systems
• PLC-controlled equipment and/or PLC programming
• Food and beverage production or packaging machinery
• Forklifts and other material-handling equipment
• Welding and fabrication

Experience in a brewery, food and beverage manufacturing facility, or similar production environment is a plus, but not required.

This position requires the physical ability to safely perform maintenance and repair work throughout a production and facility environment, including:

• Frequently standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Climbing stairs and ladders and working at varying heights as required.
• Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.
• Using hand and power tools and performing hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance work for extended periods.
• Working in wet, hot, and cold conditions, including indoor and outdoor work areas.
• Working in consistently loud production environments.
• Working safely around machinery, electrical equipment, and potentially hazardous chemicals.
• Working in confined or restricted spaces when required to access equipment and facility systems.
• Maintaining sufficient mobility, balance, and manual dexterity to safely inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment.
