Job Description

Position Description:
ANPC is a global supplier of precision approach guidance and area surveillance solutions aimed at improving the safety and capacity of civil and military aviation for customers on all seven continents. Our transponder-based solutions are designed to serve airfields where others cannot. We are a team of extraordinary professionals working together to perform an important mission to uniquely serve airports with terrain, obstacles and other challenges that no other business can provide.

Job Summary
The Production Manager oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost effectiveness. Leading a multidisciplinary team—including Production Technicians, Materials Coordinators, Buyers, and Planners—this role drives cross-functional alignment between supply chain planning, material availability, and shop-floor execution. Reporting directly to the Production Leader, the Production Manager converts strategic operational goals into tactical execution and leads continuous improvement efforts across all production lines.

Essential Job Functions
• Direct daily shop-floor production activities to meet delivery schedules, output targets, and quality standards while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Supervise the Buyer, Planner, and Materials Coordinator to ensure synchronized scheduling, optimal inventory levels, timely raw material procurement, and clear line of sight on long-lead items.
• Lead and mentor Production Technicians in partnership with the Lead Production Technician, ensuring proper allocation of workforce, cross-training, skill development, and adherence to safety and standard operating procedures.
• Partner with the Production Planner to balance work-in-progress (WIP), manage capacity constraints, resolve material shortages, and adjust schedules based on customer demand and supply shifts.
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kanban, Kaizen, flow optimization) across production and material movement functions to eliminate waste, improve cycle times, and optimize floor layout.
• Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to investigate shop-floor non-conformances, enforce standard assembly practices, and support root-cause corrective action efforts.
• Manage labor allocation, operational budgets, overtime, and tool/equipment maintenance to ensure targets are hit within designated cost parameters.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs)—such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Schedule Adherence, First Pass Yield (FPY), and Inventory Accuracy—reporting findings and action plans to the Production Leader.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to streamline New Product Introductions (NPI), engineering changes (ECOs), and inventory flow into production.

Education and Work Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s Debree in Operations Management, Supply Chain or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven track record of managing both shop-floor technical personnel and materials/supply chain functions.
• Experience in vendor performance, purchasing workflows and operational expenditures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP (Sage 100, SAP, or equivalent).
• OSHA and safety experience.
• Sold grounding in Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and hold teams accountable; strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, quality and leadership.
• Strong project management skills with experience managing operational labor budgets and production metrics.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to report effectively to leadership.

Nice to Have:
• APICS CPIM/CSCP, ISM CPSM/CSM, or similar certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and aerospace material specs.
