In this senior individual contributor role, you will design, deploy, and optimize production-grade AI systems, empowering teams with scalable automation and intelligent workflows. Working at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and generative AI, you will build reliable solutions that improve operational efficiency and accelerate business outcomes. You'll collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, drive end-to-end AI initiatives, and establish best practices for modern AI engineering. - Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI applications, LLM-powered workflows, and multi-step agentic systems that automate business processes.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting AI services, including serverless applications, deployment pipelines, monitoring, logging, alerting, and environment management.
- Integrate AI solutions with existing business systems through APIs, webhooks, and custom automation while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Lead infrastructure decisions related to cloud platforms, AI deployments, and workflow orchestration, balancing performance, maintainability, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical leadership across departments by troubleshooting complex issues, supporting AI adoption, and enabling teams to build and maintain AI-powered solutions.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, prototype new capabilities, and recommend tooling that enhances productivity and long-term scalability.
- Document systems, establish engineering best practices, and independently lead AI initiatives from concept through production when needed.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, systems engineering, or related technical roles, with hands-on experience delivering AI or machine learning solutions.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript (Node.js), with experience writing production-quality code.
- Proven expertise deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Vercel, or equivalent environments.
- Experience working with large language models, AI orchestration tools (such as LangChain, n8n, Make, or Zapier), vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud-native application design, monitoring, logging, and secrets management.
- Experience building cloud-based agents, serverless applications, or workflow automation platforms.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the confidence to independently own technical initiatives and deliver solutions across multiple teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
- Experience with AI agent frameworks, data pipelines, business intelligence tools, or high-volume digital media environments is considered an asset.
- Competitive salary based on location and experience:
- Remote: $70,000 – $120,000 USD
- Los Angeles-based: $110,000 – $160,000 USD
