About the Role:

The Company Driver with a Class A CDL plays a critical role in supporting oil and gas operations and requires a high level of responsibility to ensure timely and secure delivery while adhering to all federal, state, and company safety regulations. The Day Cab - Slip Seating driver will operate heavy-duty vehicles under diverse and sometimes challenging environmental conditions, demonstrating professionalism and reliability at all times. Effective communication with dispatchers, site managers, and team members is essential to coordinate logistics and respond to dynamic operational needs. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the efficiency and success of extraction projects by maintaining seamless transportation services within the industry’s demanding framework.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience operating heavy-duty trucks, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and ongoing random testing as required by federal regulations.
  • Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections, load/unload cargo, and work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience driving in remote or off-road conditions typical of industry sites.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Additional endorsements such as HazMat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues in the field.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working within a team-oriented, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport equipment, supplies, and personnel to designated oil and gas extraction sites.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records in accordance with federal and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate schedules, report delays, and address any transportation issues promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and environmental regulations to minimize risk and ensure safe operations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent damage or hazards during transit.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team for timely repairs.

The required skills enable the driver to operate heavy commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. Proficiency in vehicle inspection and maintenance helps prevent breakdowns and maintain operational continuity. Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating with dispatch and site personnel, facilitating smooth logistics and timely deliveries. Preferred skills such as familiarity with GPS and electronic logging devices enhance route planning and accurate record-keeping, improving overall efficiency. Compensation:

Drivers are paid a percentage-based rate.
