Senior Technical Account Manager, Life Sciences

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Account Manager, Life Sciences based in the United States.

The Senior Technical Account Manager, Life Sciences, will drive strategic growth and strengthen customer relationships across major pharmaceutical accounts. Combining technical expertise, industry knowledge, and commercial insight, this role helps customers turn complex business challenges into impactful analytics solutions. You will collaborate closely with account leaders to shape strategies, advance sales opportunities, and position innovative technologies as essential business tools. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will connect customer priorities with technical capabilities and measurable outcomes. You will also coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure consistent execution and long-term account success. This opportunity offers flexibility to work remotely within the United States or from the company’s headquarters in Cary, North Carolina, with a preference for candidates based in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or New York.

Accountabilities:
  • Partner with account leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that support revenue growth, customer engagement, and long-term account success.
  • Identify customer priorities, emerging business opportunities, and unmet needs to expand the adoption of analytics solutions.
  • Support pipeline development, opportunity advancement, proposals, procurement activities, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business, technical, and executive stakeholders across key pharmaceutical accounts.
  • Act as a strategic advisor, aligning technical capabilities, industry expertise, and innovation with customer objectives.
  • Lead customer discovery sessions, workshops, demonstrations, presentations, and solution envisioning activities.
  • Translate complex business challenges into value-driven analytics solutions with measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop account strategies, enablement materials, use cases, and value propositions that strengthen customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across sales, technical, consulting, customer success, marketing, and product organizations to ensure aligned execution.
  • Manage account plans, risks, dependencies, action items, and stakeholder engagement to support successful delivery and account growth.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, passion, authenticity, and accountability while fostering productive customer and internal relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical consulting, sales support, or related roles.
  • Proven ability to generate incremental revenue and contribute to complex sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and life sciences trends, industry disruption, and analytics-driven solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with partners, system integrators, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and analytical concepts in clear, business-oriented language.
  • Experience contributing to proposals, RFP responses, and customer-facing documentation.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer loyalty, earn trust, follow through on commitments, and influence customer decisions effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, professional judgment, and creative thinking when addressing complex issues involving multiple variables.
  • Ability to lead initiatives, define methodologies, coordinate team activities, and build relationships with key contacts beyond your immediate area of expertise.
  • Proven ability to articulate business value and align technical solutions with customer needs.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
