Job Description
PURPOSE OF JOB:
This non-supervisory position is responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of the dealership lot, as well as ensuring that all vehicles are ready to sell (plates, stickers, cleaned, mechanically sound, etc.).
JOB DUTIES:
1. Operations
· Inspect all vehicles after they are detailed to ensure they are clean and mechanically sound.
· Check all lot vehicles daily to make certain they are clean, have Romain Automotive Group plates on them, and have the proper Buyers Guide displayed on the rear door windows.
· Inspect showroom vehicles daily, and clean vehicles as necessary.
· Apply Buyers Guides to all vehicles prior to them being placed on the lot for sale.
· Start each pre-owned vehicle weekly to ensure batteries are charged and there are no operational issues.
· Ensure vehicles on display have a minimum of 1/8 tank of fuel.
· Remove unfit pre-owned vehicles from the display lot (examples include low tires, damaged exteriors or interiors, mechanical issues), and process through the Service department for corrections.
· Develop a Business Plan and use it daily to achieve identified goals and objectives.
· Ensure completion of appropriate checklists and maintain documentation.
2. Organization
· Maintain pre-owned vehicle displays in an attractive and orderly fashion.
· Reorganize vehicle displays in accordance with instructions from Sales Department management.
· Inspect display areas daily and remove trash and debris.
3. General
· Ensure prompt and regular attendance.
· Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management.
· Travel as business needs may require.

· Provide “World Class Customer Service” for internal and external customers.
· Participate in and promote the established Quality Improvement Process (QIP) for continuous improvement.
· Participate on teams to research, measure, and correct problems and to strive for process improvement.

· Attend at least ten (10) credit hours of training each calendar year to continue development of work-related skills.
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education:
· High school diploma/equivalent is minimally required.
2. Experience:
· Past work experience must confirm a high level of energy and communication as well as the ability work in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.
3. Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:
· Must possess and continuously maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
· Must safely operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions
· Must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions, including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, sleet, snow, wind, etc.
· Ability to stoop, bend, and twist in order to inspect and clean vehicles and work areas
· Ability to stand or walk on concrete/hard surfaces for several hours at a time
· Clear, effective, and professional communications skills (written and verbal)
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently with minimal direction
· Strong customer service skills
· Strong organizational skills
