Job Description

Senior Product Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer based in Germany.

We are seeking a customer-focused Senior Product Designer who combines exceptional design craft with strong product thinking and a deep understanding of user needs. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end customer experiences, shaping product direction in close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams. You will use research, analytics, and experimentation to uncover opportunities, solve complex problems, and deliver measurable customer and business outcomes. Beyond designing new features, you will continuously improve existing journeys to make the overall product experience more intuitive, cohesive, and effective. You will also help raise design standards across the team by contributing to design systems, sharing knowledge, and leveraging AI-powered tools to accelerate innovation. Join a global, ambitious, and inclusive environment where your work can make a meaningful impact at scale.

Accountabilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers, including their goals, behaviors, needs, and pain points, using customer research, product analytics, and continuous exploration.

  • Proactively identify and frame customer problems, uncover opportunities, and translate insights into meaningful product improvements.

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape product strategy, priorities, and roadmaps, challenging assumptions and advocating for the most valuable problems to solve.

  • Own the design of intuitive, cohesive end-to-end customer journeys, ensuring individual features contribute to a consistent overall product experience.

  • Lead design initiatives from discovery and concept exploration through validation, implementation, and post-launch evaluation.

  • Explore alternative solutions, validate concepts, and make evidence-based design decisions using qualitative and quantitative insights.

  • Define success criteria and measure the impact of design solutions, continuously refining experiences based on customer feedback and product performance.

  • Identify usability issues, friction points, and inconsistencies in existing customer journeys, advocating for improvements beyond the immediate roadmap.

  • Deliver high-quality design work and contribute to the evolution and consistency of design systems and design practices.

  • Explore emerging tools and technologies, including AI, to enhance research, ideation, prototyping, and problem-solving.

  • Share expertise, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high design standards.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in product design, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating complex challenges, design rationale, and measurable outcomes.

  • Strong product thinking and business acumen, with the ability to identify customer needs and proactively uncover opportunities for improvement.

  • Proven experience designing and owning intuitive, cohesive end-to-end experiences across complex product journeys.

  • Strong user research and analytical capabilities, with experience using qualitative and quantitative data to guide and validate design decisions.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence product strategy and decisions.

  • Advanced proficiency with AI tools and the ability to apply them effectively to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and problem-solving.

  • A strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to improving the entire customer experience rather than focusing solely on individual features.

  • A proactive, curious, and collaborative mindset, with a willingness to share knowledge, exchange feedback, and contribute to the growth of the design team.

Benefits:
  • Remote flexibility: Work remotely within the eligible European locations, with the opportunity to work from a modern, welcoming office in Riga where applicable.

  • Flexible working hours: Organize your schedule with the flexibility to start your day as late as 11 AM.

  • Private health insurance: Access private healthcare coverage.

  • Well-being days: Enjoy two additional paid days off dedicated to your mental or physical well-being.

  • Personal celebration day: Receive one additional paid day off to celebrate your birthday or another occasion of your choice.

  • Learning and development: Benefit from internal and external learning opportunities to support your professional growth.

  • Mentorship and collaboration: Access mentorship, internal meetups, and hackathons, both online and in person.

  • Office perks: Enjoy free, healthy lunches when working from the Riga office.

  • Employee merchandise: Design and order your own merchandise through company platforms with an employee discount.

  • Team culture: Participate in engaging team-building activities, events, and celebrations.

  • Inclusive global environment: Collaborate with ambitious, supportive colleagues across multiple disciplines and locations.
