Job Description

Why This Role Matters

Entomo Brands is growing across multiple states, with more than 22 branches providing residential and commercial pest, termite, and mosquito control services. Consistent accounting and dependable financial reporting help the business understand performance and support informed decisions as we grow.

As our Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of key general ledger activities, reconciliations, cash and payroll accounting, and month-end close deliverables. You will partner with the Accounting Manager and teams across the business to maintain accurate GAAP reporting and strengthen accounting processes.

What You Will Do

Own general ledger and month-end close work

  • Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications in NetSuite.
  • Own assigned balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules, including cash, prepaids, accrued liabilities, payroll liabilities, fixed assets, and other GL accounts.
  • Execute assigned monthly close deliverables on schedule, investigate reconciling items, and provide workpapers for Accounting Manager review.
  • Assist with GAAP financial reporting and maintain consistent branch/location classifications.

Keep cash, payroll, and expense accounting on track

  • Prepare and maintain daily cash reports; reconcile bank and merchant settlement activity to the general ledger and escalate exceptions for resolution.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card activity, Ramp transactions, vendor disbursements, and related clearing accounts.
  • Prepare biweekly ADP payroll journal entries and reconcile wages, payroll taxes, benefits, and other payroll liabilities by branch.
  • Review the accounting treatment and expense allocation of fleet, fuel, chemical/supply, insurance, and operating costs; identify errors and missing accruals.

Support reporting, controls, and special projects

  • Reconcile summarized CRM/PestPac revenue, cash, and deferred revenue reporting to NetSuite, partnering with Central Billing on customer-level exceptions.
  • Maintain assigned fixed-asset and depreciation schedules and support lease and prepaid-expense accounting.
  • Assist with branch-level P&L analysis, budget-to-actual variances, cash forecasting inputs, and management reporting.
  • Prepare audit support, improve reconciliation SOPs, and assist with special accounting projects and process improvements.

What Success Looks Like

  • Assigned close deliverables and reconciliations are completed accurately and on schedule, with clear supporting workpapers.
  • Cash, payroll, and operating expense activity is reconciled and exceptions are investigated or escalated.
  • Branch-level financial reporting is consistent, and key differences between source systems and NetSuite are researched.
  • Audit support is dependable and accounting procedures become clearer and more efficient over time.

Who You Are

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and 3–6+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, journal entries, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Experience reconciling bank accounts and recording payroll and operating expenses; ability to investigate discrepancies independently.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation models, and experience using an ERP such as NetSuite.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable meeting deadlines in a multi-location environment.

Preferred

  • CPA or CPA-eligible.
  • Prior experience with NetSuite, Ramp, or ADP.
  • Experience in a service business, private equity-backed company, or multi-branch operating environment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits; 401(k) with company match; paid time off and holidays.
  • Opportunity to grow with a scaling finance organization.
