Floor Care Cleaner – Part-Time | School Facility in Casselberry, Florida at FCS Facility Services

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM–9:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Floor Care Cleaner to join our team at a large school facility.

This position will primarily be responsible for maintaining and cleaning floors throughout the school using a ride-on floor cleaning machine. The cleaner will operate the machine in large floor areas and will also be responsible for manually cleaning corners, edges, tight spaces, and other areas that the machine cannot reach.

The school consists of multiple floors and buildings, so the position requires moving between different areas of the facility and maintaining floors throughout classrooms, hallways, common areas, gym areas, and other assigned spaces.

Previous experience operating a ride-on floor cleaning machine is preferred, but candidates who are dependable and willing to learn may be considered.

• Operate a ride-on floor cleaning machine safely and efficiently.

• Clean and maintain floors throughout multiple areas of the school facility.

• Operate floor cleaning equipment according to company procedures and manufacturer instructions.

• Manually mop corners, edges, tight spaces, and areas that cannot be reached by the machine.

• Sweep and remove debris from floors before or during machine cleaning as needed.

• Pay close attention to corners, edges, doorways, and other areas requiring additional cleaning.

• Clean floors in classrooms, hallways, common areas, gym areas, and other assigned spaces.

• Maintain clean and presentable floors throughout multiple floors and buildings.

• Inspect floors for dirt, spills, stains, or other conditions requiring additional attention.

• Empty, clean, and properly maintain the floor machine after use.

• Report equipment problems, maintenance issues, spills, safety hazards, or other concerns to the supervisor.

• Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Follow all company and client safety procedures.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Complete assigned floor-cleaning duties thoroughly and within established timeframes.

• Maintain a professional and respectful attitude while working around students, teachers, school staff, clients, and team members.

• Previous experience operating a ride-on floor cleaning machine is preferred.

• Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus.

• Experience with floor care equipment and procedures is preferred.

• Ability to learn and properly operate floor cleaning equipment.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Dependable, punctual, and responsible.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

• Must be comfortable working in a large school facility with multiple floors and buildings.

• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment.

• Must be able to complete manual mopping and other floor-cleaning tasks in areas the machine cannot reach.

This is a physically active position that requires standing and walking for most of the shift.

The position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Operate a ride-on floor cleaning machine for extended periods.

• Bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull as needed.

• Manually mop corners, edges, and tight spaces.

• Move between multiple floors and buildings.

• Walk up and down stairs as required.

• Handle cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Perform repetitive cleaning movements throughout the shift.
