Saw Operator in Hobart, Wisconsin at EMT International

EMT International is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our Machine Shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately cutting raw materials to specification while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency. • Operate industrial saws, including band saws and circular saws, to cut raw materials to precise dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and job specifications.
• Adjust machine settings, blade speeds, and material feeds to ensure accurate cuts and minimize waste.
• Measure and inspect finished materials using calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools.
• Load and unload raw materials and stage completed parts for production.
• Identify material defects, miscuts, and quality concerns before materials move to the next operation.
• Maintain production records and job documentation.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning.
• Report machine issues and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.

• 1–2 years of experience operating industrial saws, CNC equipment, or automated cutting systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel is preferred.
