Key Responsibilities
Receptionists perform a variety of front-desk and administrative tasks, including:
• Greeting and welcoming visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner
• Answering, screening, and forwarding phone calls, emails, and messages
• Scheduling and managing appointments, meetings, and calendars
• Maintaining a tidy and organized reception area, including handling mail, deliveries, and office supplies
• Assisting colleagues with clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation
• Supporting security by monitoring visitor access and ensuring compliance with office protocols
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Proficiency with office software, phone systems, and scheduling tools
• A professional and approachable demeanor, often described as the “first impression” of the organization
