The Monell Chemical Senses Center is a world-renowned non-profit research institute and a global leader dedicated to advancing knowledge about the senses of taste, smell, and related senses and translating its discoveries into real-world advances in policy, practice, and behavior. Monell is located in the heart of Philadelphia's vibrant educational and life sciences hub. The Dalton lab is seeking a Temporary Part-time Research Technician.
The scientist in this role will work with a dynamic project team to execute psychophysical/sensory experiments toward assessing the comfort of individuals who are wearing specific uniforms. Responsibilities will include recruiting and scheduling human research participants, administering questionnaires, executing psychophysical tests following specified protocols, keeping/data entry, and communicating results to the project team.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Prior experience working with human subjects preferred; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite preferred, specifically: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience in a research setting and knowledge of human research regulations are desired.
- BA or BS degree in Psychology or related field (Biology) required.
Employment terms:
A variable schedule. 8-10-hour days, likely 3 days in a row, twice in a 9–10-day period.
Employment will last up to 4 weeks.
