Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor - 1st Shift is responsible for leading daily production floor execution, team member performance, safety, quality, output, schedule adherence, and shift discipline across assigned manufacturing areas. This role directs production leads, technicians, operators, and support personnel to meet daily build priorities while ensuring work is performed according to approved procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations. The Production Supervisor partners with Production Management, Planning, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and other support teams to resolve issues, maintain production continuity, and drive continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead 1st-shift production execution across assigned manufacturing areas to meet daily output, quality, safety, and schedule objectives.
- Supervise leads, technicians, operators, and support personnel through daily assignments, attendance, performance management, coaching, accountability, cross-training, and labor allocation.
- Review production priorities, staffing plans, material readiness, equipment status, line coverage, and shift goals; monitor progress, bottlenecks, downtime, and recovery actions throughout the shift.
- Ensure adherence to approved work instructions, standard operating procedures, ESD controls, safety rules, quality requirements, customer requirements, and production-floor discipline.
- Drive shift-level KPI review, escalation, problem solving, corrective-action follow-up, floor walks, accurate shift reporting, and handoff communication for production, material, equipment, process, and quality issues.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent relevant manufacturing leadership experience required; relevant training in production supervision, safety, quality, or Lean manufacturing preferred.
Experience:
- 4-7 years of manufacturing, production, operations, or related experience in electronics manufacturing, technology, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience supporting production execution, shift priorities, staffing coordination, quality performance, safety, schedule attainment, and production-floor problem solving.
- At least one (1) year of lead, supervisor, or people-leadership experience in a fast-paced electronics, high-volume, high-mix, or complex production environment required.
