Job Summary:
A Ridgecrest Custodian creates a clean, healthy, and safe environment for our guests by maintaining public guest areas and facilities with excellence, consistency, and attention to detail. Together, we work hard to fulfill the Conference Center mission: Impacting lives for God’s glory through purposeful hospitality!
Job specific highlights:
Job Type: Full- Time
Pay Range: The starting pay is $15.00 per hour depending on experience
Schedule: Typical schedule for this shift is 1:30pm to 10pm; weekends and holidays are required.
Essential Job Duties:
- Create a purposeful experience for guests by cleaning public guest spaces according to schedules and procedures.
- Operate and maintain heavy duty vacuums, carpet shampooers, carpet extractors, floor strippers, and other equipment as needed.
- Clean office areas.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor.
- Commitment to Ridgecrest’s mission and values, demonstrating purposeful hospitality in all interactions.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean public guest areas and facilities thoroughly, consistently, and according to established standards.
- Ability to follow written cleaning procedures, schedules, and verbal instructions with accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to maintain cleaning equipment and supplies properly, reporting needs or issues promptly.
- Positive attitude and willingness to approach every task with a “make it better” mindset.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on guest needs and conference center occupancy.
- Pleasant, tactful, courteous, and cooperative.
Qualifications:
- 8th grade completion required.
- Hospitality or service work experience preferred.
- Experience operating floor care equipment preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly and up to 50 pounds at times.
- Operate heavy equipment/machinery.
- Good body mobility with a good range of motion from floor level to overhead.
- Able to work in a variety of work areas.
- Work will include significant amounts of bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and lifting on a daily basis.
