Pritchard Companies is seeking a skilled and motivated Technician B to join our service team. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who is ready to move beyond routine maintenance and take on diagnostic work, intermediate repairs, and advanced OEM training.

As a Technician B, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality repairs, diagnosing vehicle concerns, and helping customers keep their vehicles operating safely and efficiently. What You'll DoDiagnostics & Repairs
  • Perform vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting across a variety of makes and models.
  • Complete intermediate maintenance and repair services according to OEM standards.
  • Utilize diagnostic software and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Recommend appropriate repairs and long-term solutions that support customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all repair work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Service Operations
  • Maintain productivity standards and service department expectations.
  • Accurately document repair findings, recommendations, and completed work.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and team members regarding repair status and recommendations.
  • Follow all dealership procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Adapt to new vehicle technology, systems, and repair procedures.
Professional Development
  • Complete required OEM training programs and certifications.
  • Pursue ASE certifications and ongoing technical education.
  • Stay current on emerging vehicle technologies and repair techniques.
  • Leverage manufacturer resources and technical information to support efficient repairs.
Teamwork & Customer Support
  • Collaborate with Service Advisors, Parts Advisors, and fellow technicians.
  • Support department goals related to productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Intermediate knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic software and dealership technology systems.
  • Ability to provide and maintain personal tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to complete OEM and ASE certification programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous dealership or automotive repair experience.
  • ASE certifications or progress toward certification.
  • OEM training certifications.
  • Experience using advanced diagnostic equipment and software.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work around vehicle lifts, moving equipment, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, diagnostic equipment, and shop tools.
