This role provides day-to-day leadership within a customer-focused processing and operations team supporting government solutions.
You will help maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and service while serving as a trusted point of contact for team members.
The position combines coaching, performance monitoring, issue resolution, customer communication, and operational support.
You will work closely with supervisors, internal departments, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to keep workflows efficient and responsive.
The role also offers opportunities to contribute to process improvements, continuous improvement initiatives, and internal projects.
When leadership coverage is needed, you will help oversee the office and team while making sound, timely business decisions.
Success requires strong judgment, organization, communication, and a genuine commitment to supporting both employees and customers.
- Review processor performance regularly and provide coaching, feedback, and training to address performance or quality gaps.
- Serve as a team leader and initial point of contact for employee escalations, questions, and operational issues.
- Collect, monitor, and communicate daily performance metrics and help leadership identify opportunities for improvement.
- Respond professionally and promptly to client, customer, and internal processing-related inquiries.
- Investigate and resolve escalated inquiries from other departments while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
- Provide recommendations to leadership for improving operational procedures, workflows, and team performance.
- Participate in planning and strategy sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors when required to support operational needs.
- Take ownership of assigned internal projects and provide additional operational support as needed.
- Oversee the office and team during supervisor absences, ensuring continuity of daily operations and service levels.
- Process events and handle inbound customer correspondence, including opening, scanning, and processing materials.
- Support escalated customer service inquiries and client interactions related to full-service office operations.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure issues are communicated and resolved effectively.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; college experience or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, customers, clients, vendors, and different levels of leadership.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and a willingness to develop further as a people leader.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to facilitate meetings, manage multiple priorities, and work with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-management skills, combined with flexibility and a service-oriented mindset.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and reporting databases.
