Director, Partnership Growth

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Partnership Growth based in Canada.

The Director, Partnership Growth will lead strategic initiatives designed to expand and monetize a portfolio of existing partnerships while creating new avenues for sustainable growth. This senior role combines partnership strategy, business development, commercial analysis, and operational execution in a fast-paced technology environment. You will work across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Operations to turn market insights into measurable business outcomes. You will shape partnership tiers, retention strategies, marketplace growth, and scalable programs that strengthen customer and partner value. The role also requires strong financial and strategic judgment, from market sizing and ROI analysis to business-case development and forecasting. As a senior cross-functional leader, you will influence executives and teams without relying on direct authority. Your work will directly contribute to revenue diversification, innovation, and the long-term growth of the partnership ecosystem.

Accountabilities
  • Grow and strengthen a portfolio of existing partnerships by identifying opportunities to increase revenue, improve customer experience, and deepen mutual value.

  • Develop and implement partnership tiers that provide differentiated benefits based on partner contribution and strategic importance.

  • Drive partner retention by establishing mutual action plans, monitoring value realization, and addressing risks proactively.

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to develop programs that increase partnership visibility, adoption, and revenue.

  • Develop and execute a marketplace strategy focused on improving the existing marketplace, expanding its value proposition, and increasing monetization.

  • Gather market and partner insights to identify opportunities for innovation, new partnerships, strategic investments, and potential acquisition opportunities.

  • Build rigorous business cases covering market sizing, strategic rationale, financial modeling, ROI, and customer validation for new and existing growth initiatives.

  • Lead initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and against measurable commercial objectives.

  • Establish scalable frameworks, processes, and performance metrics to monitor, optimize, and expand successful partnership initiatives.

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders across multiple business functions and facilitate alignment around growth priorities.

Requirements
  • 10–15 years of experience in SaaS, technology, or another technology-driven environment, including at least 5 years in a senior strategy, growth, operations, or comparable leadership role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional growth initiatives such as partnership expansion, go-to-market programs, new business models, or market launches.

  • Proven ability to diversify revenue or scale new initiatives from initial concept through market execution.

  • Strong experience developing business cases that incorporate market sizing, ROI analysis, financial modeling, and customer validation.

  • Experience with strategic partnerships, corporate development, innovation, or venture-building is an asset.

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate market and customer insights into practical, measurable growth plans.

  • Excellent operational discipline, with the ability to create repeatable processes, scalable frameworks, and effective performance mechanisms.

  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L understanding, forecasting, financial modeling, and commercial analysis.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority.

  • Strong customer-centric mindset and experience validating growth concepts through customer and market feedback.

  • Analytical and data-driven approach, with confidence using both quantitative and qualitative information to prioritize opportunities.

  • Excellent executive-level written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Operations.

  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder-alignment skills, particularly in complex, cross-functional environments.

  • Annual compensation range of $143,500–$158,000 CAD for Canada, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market considerations.
